The Power of Resilience: Bouncing Back Stronger
The Power of Resilience: Bouncing Back Stronger

There’s a unique magic that happens when women coach women. It’s not just about guidance, professional growth, or hitting KPIs, it’s about connection. It’s about being seen when you feel no one is really looking at you. It’s about being understood and it’s about being empowered by someone who has walked the path ahead of you. They cheer for your wins and hold space for your internal struggles. It’s about community over competition, support over silence, and lifting as we ascend higher.

I call this the RiseHiER effect.

I believe professional coaching and mentorship should be accessible, motivational, and rooted in real connection. That’s why our Founder, Tawnya Linsley created RiseHiER: a career development and coaching platform designed to support women at every stage of their professional journey. I belong to a collective of female coaches from diverse industries and backgrounds who are passionate about helping other women rise higher and not in isolation, but through shared growth.

Why Peer-to-Peer Female Coaching Matters

In a world where women are still underrepresented in executive leadership, navigating unequal pay, and battling imposter syndrome, the idea of "figuring it out alone" is no longer an option. Here’s what makes peer-to-peer female coaching so powerful:

1. Someone in Your Corner

One of the most impactful benefits of coaching is having someone genuinely rooting for you. A coach who says, "You've got this," and truly means it. It’s not performative or obligatory, it’s deeply personal. Whether you're prepping for a job interview, negotiating a raise, or pivoting careers, having a woman who believes in you can be the difference between thinking about doing something and taking action.

2. Shared Experience Creates Relatability

Female coaches often bring a level of relatability. Maybe they’ve returned to work after having children. Maybe they’ve been the only woman in the boardroom. Maybe they know what it's like to question their worth (fact: I’ve experienced all three of the aforementioned!). These shared experiences make coaching more than transactional…they make it transformational.

3. Care + Grit

There’s a natural blend of care and grit that women bring into coaching partnerships. It’s not just about pushing you to your fullest potential, it’s about making sure you don’t fall off into the back, deep corners of your mind (which happens all too often). This kind of coaching is tough yet compassionate, and will keep you grounded.

4. "They Just Get It"

Sometimes, it really is that simple. There's an unspoken understanding that happens when you're coached by someone who "just gets it." Whether it’s navigating toxic workplace dynamics, balancing ambition with family responsibilities, or dealing with burnout, a female coach often brings the nuanced empathy that makes you feel seen and safe. And in that safety, real transformation begins.
